Sue Shofner

I have been teaching various classes for the last 14 years at Lady of America. I use to weigh 180 pounds and then someone at a party asked me when I was due? But I was not pregnant...LOL. So I started taking yoga classes and then eventually joined Lady of America. As a member I was taking so many classes, that the owner asked me to become a certified instructor. I have taught high impact aerobics, step circuit, double step, relaxation yoga, and also pilates. I am a certified personal trainer as well. I turned 58 in November and don't feel it at all. Exercise plus biking have turned my life around. I have 2 sons, and 3 grandkids that can't keep up with me. My full time job at TGI Fridays also has kept me very busy for the past 13 years. I am widowed for 5 years and single at present. I love my life as I move forward with new opportunities and grateful for the chance to renew and begin again at Soza Fitness and Wellness... as they say "one door closes and another one opens."

High Intensity/High Volume Training mixed with a blend of core strengthening, balance and stabilization principles.  I believe through my studies that starting clients at a balance and stabilization stage (flooring stage) it allows them to build the foundation that will allow their bodies to advance into more beneficial exercises.  Once we complete the first stage of balance and stabilization, intensity and volume levels increase along with your strength levels and the results become endless.  I’ am a strong believer in you get what you put into things.  Combined with the proper exercise and nutrition plan the skies the limit for you the client to achieve your goals.


Rick Delarosa

After graduating in 1991 with a personally designed major in Sports
Physiology, Rick worked in a variety of settings from corporate fitness, to owning his own studio, all while perfecting his passion for increasing human performance, and injury prevention. 

For the past 6 years Rick has developed a program called "The Blamelessbody Routine“.  It's dual purpose is to strip fat, reduce joint pain, and prevent further damage by coaching clientson how to feed, and care for the body in a unique and simple way.  Rick’s company is named after his soon to be published book "BlamelessbodyFitness”.


Nanci Jones Willford

I’ve had a gym membership for over 10 years with one gym or another. Going to the gym was great but there was no real structure and no real results. I was introduced to Soza Fitness & Wellness in August through a friend who invited me to a ZUMBA® class. After attending my first ZUMBA® class I fell in love!! I began Soza just for ZUMBA®, but soon found the other classes offered to be just as lovely! I went from paying per class to a VIP member, so I could take advantage of as many classes as possible a month. I’m disappointed if I can’t get at least two classes a day in! I’ve lost over 30lbs in the last 4 months attending Soza. I’ve not only seen progress in my weight loss, but also in my strength, and over all love for fitness. I love the variety of classes, the instructors and the overall friendly environment! I love Soza fitness! I am also a Zumba® and Zumba Toning™ Instructor at Soza, and also the owner of an Allstate Insurance Agency.

That is how I would describe my training and how I lead workouts… (HAVE FUN), whether it’s a large or small group or it’s just an individual. We only have one hour, so my philosophy is that hour should make such an impact, that it makes you want to come back for more. Fitness has always been a part of my life. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and I want to share what I have learned. My mission is to assist people in making fitness a lifestyle, not a chore, and we can do that with the HAVE FUN approach to working out. Matt is also a Financial Advisor taking care of both your financial and physical well-being..

Marlin has 10 years of fitness experience. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, and a Kettlebell AMPD Instructor.  He specializes in HIT (High Intensity Training), event training (like the Warrior Dash Obstacle Course and 5K runs), strength, and endurance training.

Laureen Geniusz

I have been teaching fitness classes for over 15 years.  My passion is teaching high energy classes, such as Kickboxing/MMA fusion, Interval/Circuit, and Boot Camp classes.  I have also been trained, and have taught Yoga/Pilates Fusion, Kettle Bell, Sculpt/Muscle Conditioning, Core Conditioning, and Step classes.   I have taught new instructors how to teach sculpting type classes for several years.  I have an undergraduate degree in Biology & Chemistry from Bowling Green State University, and am an inspector for the FDA.  I teach fitness classes because I truly enjoy creating a class of my own design, meeting new people, and inspiring people to meet their fitness goals.  I LOVE TEACHING!! 

Joe Mazur

Joe Mazur is an NCSF (National Council on Strength & Fitness) Certified Personal Trainer with a passion for the martial arts. Joe has been the Defensive Tactics instructor for the city of Parma Police Department since 2007. Joe enjoys a variety of training styles including Plyometrics, Circuit Training, Power Lifting, and Functional Fitness. Joe's clients have ranged from age 13 to 93 and he feels he has learned something from each of them. Joe also believes that the body will never go where the mind has never been and tries to incorporate mental focus training along with physical performance exercises.

DK Jones

My name is DK, ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Licensed Zumba®, Zumba Toning ™, Bokwa®, and Kettlebell AMPD Instructor. I have been in the fitness industry almost 10 years, teaching all fitness levels at gyms, corporate businesses, and private events.  I hold a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan. 


My goal as a fitness professional is to motivate and inspire through fun, “Kick Butt” workouts. Studies show if clients have fun, and feel accountable to a group or buddy, they stick with their fitness activity longer. I am committed to helping you, “LIVE, PLAY, “SMILE”, AND STAY HEALTHLY”.

Dr. Amanda Brewer

I am a native Clevelander who currently resides in Maple Heights. I am a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. I met my husband there and we have been married for 21 years. My daytime profession is that of a psychologist at a community mental health center in Wooster, OH. I became a nationally certified Group Fitness Instructor in 2004, through NETA (National Exercise Trainers Association). I would have to say that fitness/exercise is my passion and I take it very seriously. It is a blessing! 

I specialize in calisthenics (strength), aerobic exercises (conditioning), and speed/agility drills in an interval, and circuit training format. The goal is to blast calories, incinerate fat, and increase muscular endurance and power, by surprising and challenging the body. I am also certified to teach Turbo Kick™ and Insanity™. 

Ana Dario

Are you ready to party yourself into shape? Hola! I’m Ana Dario. I have a passion for music and dancing. When I hear music, I just want to get my groove on! That’s why I became a licensed Zumba® Instructor.  I have been in this industry for 3 years, and my talent was discovered by Soza Fitness & Wellness. I became certified October 2010 by Doug and Joan Jones from the Studio Fitness. 

During 2011, I attended the Zumba® Fitness Convention in Orlando, Florida where I embraced the chance to dance to many different rhythms with people from all over the world, including Beto Perez the creator of Zumba® Fitness. I enjoy teaching, and I do it with lots of love and energy! My passion is to help people reach their health and fitness goals.
